How Can Swelling In The Leg While Suffering From Parkinson S Disease Be Treated?
My Mother has Parkinson for last 13 years.She was taking syndopa plus 3 tablet per day with .125 pramipexole three times.She ws not walking better.She switch to another doctor who increase the dose of syndopa from 3 to 4 tablet per day and give her pramipexole with same dose.After 3-4 months she has swelling leg,weight loss,constipation etc.Then doctor stop pramipexole and introduce parkitidin twice daily.She also takes pacitane tablet when she has severe tremor for anxiety.But last 6-7 months its getting worst.She has no other problems like diabetis,heart or kidney.What to do?Please give me some suggestion.She is 60 now.

MY DEAR it seems your moms body is now not agreeing with tab pramipexole because the features you are mentioning like constipation swelling leg and weight changes are known less serious side effects ,the presently prescribed drug parkitidin is appropriate drug ,its dosage may be reduced to 100mg only with tour drs permission and please never omit this drug on your own as chances of withdrawal syndrome are there .even there s no cure for this disease most people learn to live and they manage enjoyable livesi.
