How Can Swelling In The Lower Leg After An Injury Be Treated?

To start, I had my left knee replaced 4 months ago. Last week I fell on ceramic flooring and landed on both kneees. My left knee hurt behind the knee and was sore where I hit the floor. I have swelling in my left foot and lower part leg. I have had blood clots in the past. Should I have it checked out?

Hi,

Yes, its necessary to rule out a clot. Limb swelling in someone who has a surgery and trauma, along with the history of previous clots makes high probability of another clot and it's very important to consider that. so make sure you see your doctor sooner than later.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
