How Can Swollen Lymph Nodes On The Left Side Of The Throat Be Treated?

Is there anything that I can do at home to treat swollen lymph nodes on the left side of my throat. This has bothered me for about two weeks. I've been to my PC physician, and he recommended that I get a soft-tissue x-ray, which I have done. I called his office and was told the x-rays had come in, but he has yet to call me and let me know the results. What can I do to reduce the swelling, which is intermittent?

Hello,

In most cases, swollen lymph node usually resolve on their own after few weeks, after treating the infection responsible e.g.Viral infection. However, in some cases, it may indicate other problems such as chronic infections, which need further evaluation especially if associated with other symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
