How Can Swollen Tonsils Along With Headaches And Fever Be Treated?
I ve been sick for 2 days swollen tonsils, headache, fever, chills , body aches. Well I coughed up what looks and feels like a piece of my tonsil. I went to urgent care yesterday and they swabbed me for strep which came up negative. Are you able to give me any advice? I feel like I ve been misdiagnosed with a cold. This is worse than any cold I ve ever had.

Yes, your symptoms match tonsillitis.
Warm saline gargles, plenty of fluids, rest along with analgesic/antipyretic and suitable antibiotics are the mainstay of the treatment in tonsillitis.
So, please keep doing warm saline gargles 3-4 times a day, Ibuprofen twice daily. If fever is there then a course of Azithromycin once daily for 3 days will help.
