How Can The Bad Habit Of Biting Nails Be Eliminated?

So I have been biting my nails for as long as I can remember.. I’m 20 years old right now and the habit hasn’t gone away. It has gotten worse. One second I will tell myself I’m not going to do it again and the next I find myself biting away. What can I do to make the habit go away?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
Some advices that I can give to you are :
-Cut them short
-Wear gloves
-Coat them with a bad taste.
-Find your triggers. Notice how you feel or what you’re doing when you bite your nails.
-Keep your hands or mouth busy. Find something to fiddle with -- a stress ball, a worry stone, or even a pen to click. Chew gum so your mouth has a job
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
