How Can The Laboratory Report Be Interpreted?

Hello. 44 yr old female, 155 lbs. cbc results: cholesterol/hdl ratio=4, cholesterol=251 mg/dL, hdl=63 mg/dL, non-hdl=188 mg/dL, A1C=5.8, mean BG=120 mg/dL, GFR(caucasian)= 55 ml/min, HCT=47.4%, EOS%=7.3%, EOS#= 0.6, CREATININE= 1.09 mg/dL, BUN=22 mg/dL, calcium=9.8 mg/dL, paternal grandmother: leukemia, diabetes, both parents diabetic, had gestational diabetes/ preeclampsia resulting in emergency c-section 7 weeks early, light drinker, non-smoker. Any thoughts? BP: 124/84 (normally around 116/80, never been high) No rx meds.

Hi,

Your report shows that having a little elevation of cholesterol and low GFR according to your age.

You may follow with your reports regularly. Use antihyperlipidemic drugs. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Do regular exercise and yoga. Repeat GFR according to creatinine clearance.
