How Can Throat Infection And Cough Be Treated?

I am having throat infection and cough from 3 days. Also, fever intermittently. I have spoken to a doctor over phone and he suggested I have Cepodem 200 twice daily and also Sinarest one daily along with Solo 650 in case of fever. Please confirm if I go ahead with the above medication or any other alternative....Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to tonsillitis. The treatment is given by your doctor is correct.

Cepodem is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat a variety of infections. Sinarest is an anti-inflammatory medication used to treat inflammatory symptoms.

So, I would recommend you to continue the medication given by your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
