How Can Thyroid Dysfunction Along With Dizziness And Fatigue Be Treated?

i HAD MY THYROID ZAPPED ABOUT THREE YEARS AGO DUE TO OVERACTIVE THYROID FUNCTION WHICH MADE ME VERY WEAK, OUT OF BREATH, FATIGUED, SWEATING, DIZZY, ETC. AFTER CHECKING OUT MY HEART THEY DID BLOOD WORK AND FOUND MY THYROID PROBLEM. AM AT PRESENT TAKING 125 MG SYNTHROID ONCE DAILY IN MORNING. WAS UP TO 150 MG FOR A WHILE BUT AGAIN DUE TO SYMPTOMS AND BLOODWORK TOO HIGH NOW LOWERED. HOWEVER, NOW GETTING FATIGUED EASILY, BREATHLESS WHEN DOING SOME ACTIVITY, WALKING A BIT. STAIRS, ETC. WOULD ACTALIN BE ADVISABLE TO TRY ALONG WITH MY SYNTHROID.... WOULD YOU SUGGEST SEEKING ENDOCTRINOLOGIST FOR FURTHER ASSESSMENT/

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms are typical of thyroid dysfunction. Consult an endocrinologist and get evaluated. Do a thyroid function test (TFT) for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
