How Can Tingling Sensation In The Toe Be Treated?

My son injured his ankle a few days ago during a basketball game. It appears to be a minor sprain, there is barely any swelling. But he told me that his big toe has pins and needles . Should we go see a doctor, or just follow the typical RICE for a sprained ankle?

Well, these are signs of certain neuropathic issues and this is most commonly seen in some metabolic disorders such as diabetes,of the most common causes of peripheral neuropathy, accounting for about 30% of cases. In diabetic neuropathy, tingling and other symptoms often first develop in both feet and go up the legs, followed by tingling and other symptoms that affect both hands and go up the arms.
