How Can Tinnitus And Hearing Loss Be Treated?

I have had an echo in my right ear for almost three months, and then a doctor gave me amoxicillin, prednisone and loratidine, which was the result of having ringing in my ear for almost two months now...the echo is not treated yet and the ringing.....Is there any treatment which could bring back my normal hearing? I can hardly hear, either, especially in crowded area.

Hello,

As per your query, you have symptoms of tinnitus and hearing loss which could be due to very loud noise, Meniere’s disease, and could be due to wax accumulation in ears.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. You should get it examined immediately to prevent further exaggeration of symptoms.

The Doctor may order CT scan, examination with otoscope and prescribe further treatment option.

Till then, meditation and light physical exercise will be helpful. Maintain ear cleanliness. Avoid pricking ear with any sharp object.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
