How Can Tinnitus, Hearing Loss And Dizziness Be Treated?
Hi doc, so about 5-7 months ago I had strep throat along with ear infection. However when I was little I had several procedures with tubes in my ears. I m not sick or anything but it keeps happening. My right ear goes pretty much deaf where I cannot hear anything but when I plug my nose and blow (people around me can hear it to) my ear screeches very loud and it actually feels better lt releases pressure but when I stop blowing I get really dizzy the pressure goes back and my ear goes back to not being able to hear out of it.
You may have developed tympanic membrane perforation or ASOM with middle ear infection. Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is.
Middle ear infection may cause giddiness or Valsalva maneuver may cause syncope. Avoid cool drinks and fridge water avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.
Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Please consult your ENT specialist, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu,
