How Can Tissue Buildup Around A Titanium Frame In The Pelvis Be Treated?

I have a buildup of tissue around the titanium frame put in my pelvis to support the crushed lumbar vertebraes in a fall in 2007 and have had two lysis of adhesions because my sciatic nerve is being literally strangled by the tissue build up and the leg pain radiating down my leg(or opposite of complete numbness). Is there any med to reduce the tissue buildup? I have just been put on Mobic. I am also a gastric bypass patient fro 1984*weighed 500 lbs and now weigh 196(for 30 years now) and take ranitidine daily.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

There are specific tissue destructors available, but it will resorb the surrounding normal tissue as well.

The most ideal method is the removal of a titanium frame, which is the nidus of deposition, later on, further definite curative measures can be figured out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
