Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
If a person is having TIA s I know they are more than likely to have a Stroke at some time in the future. My question is do the TIA s effect the person s brain function such as confusion, not thinking clearly, doing things they would not normally do?
Not all TIAs (Transient Ischemic Attacks) will progress to a stroke. Not all TIAs will cause confusion and deterioration of brain function.
First, get an MRI of the brain done to see the status of the brain. We will get to know what the pathology is behind your symptoms and can treat accordingly. I will wait for the MRI report in follow up query.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
