Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Carbamazepine has been reported to reduce the paraesthesia associated with the sensorial impairment of the face within 48 hours of initiation of treatment and to promote healing after four weeks of use.
Other drugs that have been shown to have limited benefit include vitamin B, Diazepam, Amitriptyline, Chlorpromazine, Acyclovir, and injected Triamcinolone. Transcutaneous electrical stimulation has also been reported to treat TTS successfully. Surgeries like local flaps are used from adjacent areas. Paramedian facial flap surgeries also used successfully which have its own blood or nerve supply. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
