How Can Typhoid In A Child Be Treated?

Hi my son is 5 years 6months old.he was suffering with typhoid fever on 21st March 2017.I made few test on Dr. Suggestion where reports were with the result s.typhi o 1:80 and s.typhi h 1:160. Where Dr. Suggested cefspan antibiotic syrup for 6 days.and when I started the fever disappeard in the same days.since then no fever signs.but only low appetite and frequent vomit complains and construction made me revise his test again. I revised the tests on 10th April 2017 where typhi o is 1:80 and typhi h 1:320 titre.plz help.what should I do?wat these reports considered as.positive or negative

Hello,
I really hope that your son is feeling better.

I would suggest you to get his blood culture done (which is much better than Widal) and start with suitable antibiotics. Paracetamol should be able to take care of the fever

Low appetite, vomiting, headache and fever are commonly seen in typhoid.
Also, there is a considerable wasting of muscles and weight loss.

Give a child a diet that is low in fat. Lots of healthy juice, fruits and vegetables.
