How Can Umbilical Hernia, Causing Mild Pain While Bending, Be Treated?

Hello Doctor. Just wondering what if anything can be done for a possible umbilical hernia which causes periodic mild pain (more like a little pinch) when bending over or turning towards the right. No bulges showing although the belly button looks a little different and seems to be center of where the discomfort is.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I understand your concern. If the hernia has been diagnosed already, your doctor will be able to advise you on the treatment based on the findings from the physical exam and ultrasound.
If you haven't seen a doctor yet but are only speculating, I encourage you to do so for further investigation and the appropriate course of action.
I hope this helps.
Wishing you good health and all the best.
