General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM

The only way to prevent pregnancy after unprotected intercourse is by taking emergency contraceptive or Plan B pill.
Plan B pill should be taken within 24-72 hours after unprotected intercourse to prevent pregnancy. The emergency contraceptive pill can be taken even if you are breast feeding.

Hope this answers your questions
