How Can Unwanted Pregnancy Be Terminated?
I had my period on 10th may and after that next month I did not get my period, I checked my HPT it was faintly pink line was there, I thought maybe the test is negative and went on to my gynecologist who prescribed me me parte 10mg for 7 days, I had one bout of bleeding for about half an hour on the 4th day and then nothing happened so I continued with the medication. Now it s been 15 days I still haven t got my period and my HPT was also positive when I checked today. I wanted to ask if it s safe to now take the abortion pills or should I opt for surgical abortion?

Understand your concern
As you used pate mg and period will not come after using it and with positive HPT suggestive of pregnancy. You can use abortion pill as your pregnancy is less than 9 week. But you have to use abortion pill after confirming intrauterine pregnancy by USG scan under the advice and supervision of gynaecologist. Do not use abortion pill at home as self medication as it cause excessive bleeding and chance of failure of abortion.
By method, Mifepristone 600 mg should be followed by 800 ug misoprostol vaginally by gynaecologist after 48 hours.
Post abortion follow up at 7th day and USG should be done at 14th day to confirm the complete process of abortion.
You can also do surgery as chance of failure and bleeding is less.
CHoice will depend on you, which type of method do you want.
