Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi doctor I have taken two different abortion pills but both I breed .the first one I breezed for a day so took In blood tonic and it start to follow again in eight days but when I check I was still pregnant.so I took another pill but still. So I want to know why and what to do to get over it
Regarding your concern, I would explain that the pregnancy test may result positive, despite the abortion. You should know that the beta hCG levels (which are measured by the pregnancy test) remain usually high in the next days after the abortion.
But the abortion pills may lead to death of the embryo or fetus and abortion, even though the test is positive again. For this reason, I recommend performing an abdominal ultrasound as soon as possible.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
Cardiologist
