How Can Urinary Incontinence And Constipation Be Treated?
I had a bladder sling place around 10 years ago with a posterior repair. I have started having incontinence again and difficulty passing stool without some manual pressure below my vagina. Did my repair just get old and gravity took over or could there be a problem with mesh that was placed in that area it was a sling. It worked very well for awhile, after speaking to my Dr, who put the mesh said i need another is has just warn out.. I feel like I need an open procedure like a birch procedure would be better. any suggestions ? I am almost 61 a nurse and still active

Hello, I understand your concern. I too think you might need another mesh. The surgical procedures depend on the main pathology involving bladder that has caused incontinence. So, better get rechecked, re-examined by urologist to decide for best surgical intervention in your case. Take care. Dr.Albana Sejdini
