How Can Urinary Tract Infection Be Treated?

Maybe husband is taking Levaquin 500mg once a day for UTI and possibly prostitis. He saw dr on Friday and ha been having fever chills, painful urination, frequency. He was given. Shot of Levaquin on Fri then started taking pills on Sat. Fever and chills are gone but he s weak and still having problems wih urination. Should he be alot better with this dosage by now or does it take more time. I know he has enough pills for 10 days. He say he goes to bathroom but it still hurts and he barely has a trickle.
