How Can Urticaria Pigmatosis And Hypothyroidism Be Treated?

I’ve been diagnosed to have urticaria pigmatosis and hypothyroidism. I’m taking a regimen of antihistamines and a hormone. I seem to get a flare up after eating tomatoes and spicy foods. I apply a prescribed sauve 0.25% mg and the best rated body cream. This has been recurring for about 10 months. I’m becoming frustrated. Any suggestions please?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there I have read through your question and understand your concern. It seems you have food allergy to particular foods including tomatoes and spicy food which causes flare up in your urticaria. I would advise you to get yourself assessed by a skin specialist and get a patch test done to know what food items you are allergic to. You may have to take antihistamines lifelong to avoid allergy. Meanwhile you should stay away from tomatoes and spicy food as they are known triggers in your case. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
