How Can Uterine Fibroids Be Treated?

I undergo on trans vaginal ultrasound and the results was enlarged anteverted uterus with slightly thickened endometrium Multiple myoma uteri(Intramural with submucous component) but normal ovaries is it for surgical procedure or it can be treated an oral medications or can it be treated without any surgical procedures. And is intrauterine device or the IUD can caused cancer?thank you..

Hi, intrauterine devices can't cause cancer. You can try some medicines like progesterone, GnRH Analogues, mifepristone or ulipristal acetate for fibroids. If symptoms persist or you have pressure symptoms because of large size of fibroid, you can go for a surgery. Discuss with your doctor regarding this.
