How Can Vaginal Bleeding Due To A Uterine Fibroid Be Treated?
Hi I am on northisterone 15mg a day to stop bleeding due to fibroid 4cm. I am menopausal and I also have a marena coil but I am still getting a big bleed every 4 weeks. I have increased dose at times but doesn t seem to stop the bleeding. I don t know what to do.
I wouldn't advise you to increase the dose of norethisterone without consulting your gynecologist. Since you are still experiencing heavy bleeding, I would advise you to get yourself checked by a gynecologist. If it controls by medicines, then the fibroid may have to be removed surgically.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Nazma.amman
