How Can Vaginal Dryness During Menopause Be Treated?

My boyfriend and I had sex two nights ago. I am menopausal and occasionally experience vaginal dryness. Although I felt fine immediately afterwards, the next day I was sore and bleeding a little. I checked myself out only to find a small pink abrasion on the left side of my inner labia. What can I do to help it heal? Sitz baths, ointments or what?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
it is just a pink abrasion that does not necessarily need medication to go.Just sex rest for a short time will do.For vaginal dryness i suggest you go on sex lubricants.I will also advise you see a Gynecologist or visit a menopause clinic for hormone replacement if need be.
Best regards
