How Can Vaginal Infection Be Treated?

Hi, sorry for my english. One month ago, in vaginal analyzes in France, they found Candida species (others then albicans). I had a treatment, but now I have the same feelings and also the cystitis syptomas (I do not have a bacterial infection according to the analysis of the urine). Could you advise me a treatment here in USA? Thank you very much

1. If you think your symptoms are caused by a yeast infection, you can treat it with a treatment regimen of -azole medications for 7-14 days [which can either be vaginal cream, tablet, ointment or suppository]

PS. fluconazole is the commonest prescribed medicine.

2. It could be mixed vaginal infection i.e.: bacterial+fungal+ trichomonal thus you might have to take a prescribed course of antibiotic kit and antifungal medication and a medicated pessary for yourself.

PS. since candidal infection is common in diabetic patients [check with blood sugar], a patient taking broad-spectrum antibiotics, patients on oral contraceptives and AIDS thus exclude the same.

3. Although urine test did exclude any infection, but you are experiencing cystitis syndrome, it will be a good idea to follow up with your attending doctor regarding detailed medical history, pelvic examination, and necessary investigation. [cystoscopy, biopsy, urine cytology], if needed and also make sure to avoid:

. carbonated beverages, citrus fruits, Vitamin C, caffeine, alcohol, tomatoes, and wear loose clothes and doing stretching exercises can help reduce your cystitis symptoms
