How Can Vaginal Itching Be Treated?

Hi. My doctor prescribed 500mg of Azrithomycian & a shot of Rocephin with steroids last week. I called his office on 11/21/16 complaining of vaginal itching. He called in Fluconazole 200mg one daily for 7 days. I also went to Walmart & bought the tablets that turn your pee orange. Also once used Metro gel (prescription). My clit still itches like crazy. I keep it clean & use some of the Metro gel as a topical but doesn t seem to get better. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Based on your history I think that this could be vaginal candidiasis. If you have these symptoms even after using fluconazole I suggest using Clotrimazole ovula or local cream. During this time as well you should eat yoghurt and take probiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
