Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I recently did my first Brazilian wax. I have sensitive skin so I expected to heal differently. However 4 days later and I m still sore, it s still sensitive. And itching. My vagina was substantially swollen on the last side as to the the right. My labia is not AS swollen but the left side is out more than the other. I m currently using 1% hydrocortisone cream n pilysporin as well as aloe gel. I m assuming it s an allergic reaction? Do I just let it run it s course? And continue with the cream?
What symptoms you have developed following use of wax is due to an allergic reaction. What medications you are using is fine and you can continue with it. In addition, take antihistamine medication Tablet. Levocetirizine once a day.
Gradually, you should be able to get better and be back to normal.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
