How Can Vaginal Yeast Infection Be Treated?

My elderly mother is 101 years old. She has been bothered with a vaginal yeast(?) infection for several months. She has used up to 10-12 tubes of homepathic gel with little relief. She was seen by her physician at the early stage but I have not tried to take her back yet. I got Miconazole suppositories and cream for her to try tonite.
