1. As you are a diagnosed case and already underwent surgeries for the same so it is wise to check again with the Vascular surgeon [for Doppler study and examination]or get a second opinion
PS. since it is a mechanical problem thus surgery is the treatment of choice [now and then]
2. In Ayurveda we consider this disease under Vaat vyadhi “Siragat Vaat”, thus pacification of Vaat is necessary;
i.To overcome the cause take
Vitamin C rich diet (banana, black grapes, mint, coriander, milk,green vegetables,lemon,papaya,guava,dry raisins, pineapple, tomato, beet,orange,Amla) and protein in your meals (take milk with protein powder, paranthas,sprouted beans and pulses),
ii.Avoid anything which decreases venous return like standing for long hours, sitting cross legs, wearing tight jeans, taking
nicotine.
iii.While at work elevate your ankles and while sleeping elevate the foot end to minimize swelling.
iv.You can practice Halasana (Plough Pose) which helps in circulation of blood, but if the obstruction is ruled out.
3. Capsule Vasoril initially 2 caps twice a day and thereafter 1 cap twice a day is good for
peripheral vascular disorder (contains anti inflammatory herbs like guggul, arjuna)
ii. Panchkarma procedure which is beneficial for
varicose vein is “Raktamokshana-sira vedhan” i.e. blood letting which is useful for peripheral vascular disorders or Medicated
Enema (Vasti)) containing Vata pacifying drugs is also suitable.
