How Can Verbal Rage Be Dealt With In An Elderly Person?
I think my dad may have a mental disorder. He flies into verbal rages often and when he was younger and more physically able to do so would throw things at us and threaten us with guns to our heads or that he would shoot our grandparents next door. He never did any of that, but when he was raging we felt he might really do it. He is elderly now, but when visiting my parents recently, I witnessed him still verbally abusing/raging at my mom. I am not sure what I can do at this late stage to help my mom have some kind of relief from this situation. Should I contact Child and family services to have the home investigated?
