How Can Viral Fever And Neck Pain In A Toddler Be Treated?

Hi Doctor, my 2 year 2 months old son had viral fever for 9 days. On 10th day when he woke up he has neck pain with limited movement. Had taken him to doctor, which he says is due to swollen lymph node and has prescribed cepodem 50 dry suspension twice daily for 5 days. What might be the problem and when will he be relieved of pain. Please advice as i am concerned.

Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to viral fever.

For that you can give syp acetaminophen.

He may require syp phenylephrine, cough syrup after pediatrician consultation.

Give nebulization.

Give hygienic food and water. Maintain proper hygiene.
