How Can Vitiligo Be Treated?

is there a cure for vitiligo ?without taking steroids?I started w spots on neck .fingers and toes.elbows..now have signs on face and around lips. am very upset. thank you
also I use zinc oxide on face and am completely covered up as much as possible and still get tan which shows the vitiligo from spring until winter. please help

Many newer and effective treatment options are available for vitiligo depending on the severity of the disease.
You can go for topical steroids and immunomodulatorslike tacrolimus in the initial phase. If it fails you might require a special kind of treatment called PUVA(psoralin UVA treatment).
In advanced cases laser treatment may be advised.
Consult a dermatologist and he will guide you accordingly.
