How Can Vomiting And Diarrhea In A Child Be Treated?

My daughter is 4 years old she is vomitting and having loose motions watery greenish in ciliur since last 4 days .in a day she is gng to the loo around 32 times smtines vomitting also i am giving her loads of water boiled rice but she is nt willing to eat .

Hello,

Based on the history you have shared, she can be suffering from a bout of food poisoning or gastroenteritis. Most important parameters to care about are to replace the lost water and salts by oral rehydration salts to avoid any electrolytes imbalance or dehydration.

She may also need to have a course of antibiotics like ciprofloxacin along with metronidazole and antispasmodics like drotaverine and probiotics. Continue soft diets. If she persists to have symptoms, she should be taken to a nearby health facility to get intravenous fluids replacement.
