How Can Vomiting And Diarrhea In A Toddler Be Treated?

My daughter is 2.5 years old and she had 2 vomitings since morning and also 3-4 motions since yesterday. Last 4-5 days, she was taking Relent(Cetrizine Hydrochloride - 5 mg & Ambroxol Hydrochloride -30mg) & Kefwin 125mg. (Cefaclor oral suspension) for phlegm, cough & fever. No fever & not much cough now. Can you please advise for the vomitings & motions. She just took one dose of Ondem.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In young age, it is very important to do a clinical assessment to look for dehydration which might result from repeated vomiting and diarrhea. Furthermore, stool analysis is important to treat the pathogen responsible for the symptoms.

I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Take care.
