Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My dad is taking amiodarone 200mg tables 3 times a day, after having congestive heart failure on Dec. 26th. He vomits after each dose. He is also taking Ondansetron 4 mg. every 8 hours to help relieve the nauseousness. Is there anything we can do to alleviate the vomiting as it has not stopped the vomiting?
-Drink a large number of clear fluids to remain hydrated, but consumes it in small sips at a time. -Avoid solid foods of any kind until vomiting stops. -Avoid using medications that may upset your stomachs, such as Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or corticosteroids.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
