General & Family Physician, Dr. Krishna's Response
Hi heather, thank you for the question. I'd like to ask a couple of questions. Did your mom have anything unusual or anything to eat from outside ? Also when was the last time she had her insulin? Does she also have diarrhoea or abdominal pain?
In most cases, the vomiting could be due to food poisoning. I'd recommend OTC drugs like Stemetil or Avomine to control the vomiting. Also try giving her clear liquids like lemon juice or buttermilk which are easy to digest.
I could be of more help if you could get back to me with more details.
