How Can Vomiting In An Infant Be Treated?

My daughter is 3wks old and she vomits immediately after suckling and at times passes the exude through the nose. I am worried and when l started giving her 1.25ml*three of cyclopam, she seems to have developed stomach crumbs by straining to pass faeces and one she finally does, she gets relaxed. Should I continue or discontinue administering the syrup and what can I use as an alternative? Kindly advise!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM. I have read &understiod your conern.
The vomiting following breast feed is due to lack of burping after feeding baby
Burping is allowing air ingested ñwhile sucking .. to be thrown out in firm of belching, yawning or
hicuff . This is done by holding baby erect with it's head resting on mothers shoulder &tapping her back gently to move the air out.this is continued till the hucuff, yawning of belching stops.
*Mostly the vomitting after breast feeding is mabagwd after effective burping.
Cyclopam is antusoamodic dtug &tends to cause constipation.iIn it's plsce drug like perinorm droos can be given for excessive vomittings-only after consulting the treating children specialist.
Thanks.
