Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic forum.
Constipation in young children is a common problem due to inadequate water and fibre intake, voluntary delaying of defecation, behaviour problem etc.
Clay colored (white and gray)stools are usually caused due to problems in bilirubin excretion.Usually bilirubin secreted in bile from our liver is excreted in stools which gives it yellow colour, if there is any obstruction like in obstructive jaundice or any metabolic liver disorders then there is absent of such color causing whitish stools and increased bilirubin in blood giving yellowish skin.
If your child has persistent white stools and constipation its better to get her evaluated by a gastroenterologist or pediatrician to be on the safer side.
Hope that answers your query.
Regards,
