How Can Weakness In The Legs Be Treated?

My husband had a stroke in March 2014. He has residual effects...walks with a limp, weakness on left side,...but not to the point of dropping things so much. He had foot surgery in March 2017 because he had dropped toes which were painful and also contributed to his difficulty walking. Two weeks ago, he had knee replacement surgery (the right side). His staples were removed yesterday and he has now had three pt sessions...seemingly moving forward! However, he has dropped many things this past week, from his left hand. He says that he feels like he has a good grip, but then drops things. I have cleaned up many, many messes! Advice?

I understand your concern for your husband's health condition. He had weakness in his hand that is for sure. I would suggest to consult your doctor or neurologist and get it evaluated in detail to rule out any new neuro problem. In the meantime you should continue physiotherapy session for both hands and feet which may help to improve your weakness. Thank you and wish you speedy recovery.
