General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
HI, Thanks for asking. I understand your concern. Increase in body weight can be due to edema feet. The cause of edema feet needs to be found out first & then the basic cause needs to be treated sufficiently .to cue it completely. Such edema can be due to varicose veins/ deep vein thrombosis when it is single sided( specially possible in your case as one of them has started oozing ). It also can be due to problems of kidney, liver, heart or filariasis. You need a through physical examination & needful investigations to pin point the cause & get specific treatment with concerned expert advise. Please consult your family physician to start with. Thanks
