Hello Mam,
I just read your query. See during delivery every woman lose around ten pounds. Quick weight loss also continues during first week after delivery as body releases excessive fluids from body. After that upto six weeks your body may loose one to two pounds per week and that is a healthy state.
But if you are lactating your baby and loosing weight faster than this rate and feeling anorexic (loss of appetite). Then this might be a reason for concern.
Your activity level, daily calorie intake and type of diet all influence the rate at which you are loosing your weight.
Rapid weight loss may affect your health and the health of your breastfeeding baby. Very rapid weight loss can be a sign of post partum depression or some gastrointestinal disease or some infection.
From now keep an eye on your weight loss, if you loss more than two pounds a week then you need to notify your doctor so that he can rule out the exact cause, once the exact cause would be ruled out it would be easier for you to get the treatment.
If doctor finds everything fine, then take care of your diet and life style.
Split your meal in small, frequent meals as it would be easier for your body to digest it and it will also compensate your body's regular demand of energy.
Consume a balanced diet consist of fruits, vegetables, nuts and dairy products etc.
You can also take a diet chart from a dieticiantoo.
I hope you are satisfied with my answer and find it useful.
Thank you.
