How Can Weight Of An Infant Be Increased?

Hi My baby weighed 3.3 kgs during birth. She was breastfed for a month and later was switched to similac total comfort as the milk supply was too low. Yesterday she turned 2 months old. We had an appointment with another pediatrician and she weighed 4.9 kgs. However, the doctor told us that she is not gaining enough and told us to change the formula. He recommended us bright 51.Should i change the formula and is she really not growing as she should be?

Hi,

She is slightly underweight but not that much to worry. Probably due to inadequate breast milk.

You can switch to Bright 51 as it is superior to your previous formula feed.

You can also take Lactare sachet to increase milk production.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
