General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Firstly, I would like to ask:
1. since when all these started?
2. is there feverish or flu-like feel?
3. is there any pain while swallowing?
4. is there short of breathing?
5. is there any sound you can hear while breathing?

I would like to suggest you some tests and some medicines.

Suggested tests are:
1. Chest X-Ray
2. Complete Blood test
3. Sputum analysis and culture

I would like to suggest some medicines:
1. Guaifenesin 600 to 800 mg orally every 12 hours
2. Clarithromycin 500mg twice every 12 hours for 14 days

For sore throat:

Take warm liquids
Gargle with saltwater
Rest your voice
Avoid dry air; use humidifiers
Avoid irritants such as alcohol
if too much sore throat occurs, you can use Benzocaine topical oral lozenge:
Sore throat pain, mouth pain: 1 lozenge dissolved in mouth every 2 hours as needed.

Please post another question with the results of the tests, then a doctor can follow you up and if there is any need to change or adjust the medicines, the doctor can do.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
