How Can Wheezing And Post Nasal Drip Be Treated?
for several weeks, have had stopped up nose when laying down producing a wheezing noise as i breath. drainage in back of throat causing slight cough to clear throat. fatigue and tiredness can walk couple of miles with no increase in breathing. but with a little exertion, im short of breath and struggling to catch breath. take Metaprolol, lotrel,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of wheezing and post nasal drip which seems to be due to nasal polyp,respiratory tract infection, deviation of nasal septum and weak immune system due various diseases. You should consult ENT specialist so that he can diagnose you properly to find out exact cause , he can review symptoms and take physical examination. Treatment depends upon the cause. If it is is due to bacterial infection then doctor can prescribe antibiotics along with antihistamines and decongestants which relieves the symptoms like post nasal drip. Antihistamines(benadryl) are also effective if the causative factor is allergy. If mucus is thick you can also use mucolytic agent like ambroxol to make mucus thin which can be easily removed . Apart from this you should take steam twice a day which will give relief from congestion , also do warm saline gargles .
