How Can Wrist Lump With Pain Due To Repetitive Motion Be Treated?
I have a bump on my left wrist that has been there for a month. I have what is called washboard syndrome from repetitive motion from paddling but after my padding in my last race it has gotten worse in pain an size. I had three therapy sessions and not getting better. My strength in mt had has become weaker and I can t sleep because of the pain. If I even bump it fist first (punch like) I am in excruciating pain. My physical therapist suggested an MRI, for possible cyst, what do you think?
Hi Welcome to healhcaremagic After going through your query I concluded that you are having a lump in your left wrist. It can be due to repetition movement leading to thinking of skin or it may be cyst as your therapist think. I think avoiding of repeatative motion will reduce it in nearly 2-3 weeks. For pain you can take analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. However you can get your MRI done to confirm the diagnosis. You can discuss with your Doctor about it. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to help you. Wishing you a good health. Take care.
