Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a vaccination in August 22, 2002 and it is on my yellow card certificate of vaccinations. It is written in as Aventis Pasteuer and then LoMd43AA (that part is hard to read) and exp;20May 03; I think that refers to the actual vaccine. I believe this was for yellow fever, but I can t exactly remember. Does that sound like Yellow Fever vaccination and is it still good? Secondly, the reason I ask is that I am going to Ecuador and as a small part of the trip I will be flying from Quito to Coca and then traveling on a covered motorized boat and then in a canoe down the Napo River to an Eco Lodge in the Anangu Reserve and the Yasuni National Park. After three nights there I will return to Quito.
The mentioned vaccine is of yellow fever. The validity of the yellow fever vaccination coverage is for 7 years from the induction in the body as per the standard guidelines, so if that period is over and you have to take travel, you must get revaccination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
