How Causes Severe Headaches Along With Excessive Burping And Neck Pain?

I keep getting very bad headaches as I wake in the morning, gradually getting worse, which makes me sick. I burp a lot. This is finally relieved by late morning usually after taking paracetamol and drinking lots of coffee. Should I just live with it? It may be connected with the fact that I have a lot of neck ache and am hypermobile in my back/neck. Any advice?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It would be best to find out the cause of the severe headaches if the cause is not obvious, e.g. if you have no history of migraines or severe sinuses.

The burping may not be linked to the headaches, this is most commonly related to foods used or gastrointestinal reflux. Foods such as broccoli, cabbage, turnips, beans, prunes, carbonated drinks etc., can cause excess burps.

I hope this helps.
