By now you must be well versed with TPM and PPM.
TPM is permanently replaced with PPM if necessary, normally the batteries are changed, BUT it is advisable to change the "probes" too (as different cardiologist have different opinions). So it's better have a new battery and new probes. Frequency and others are adjusted according to the specifications and you can go home.
TPM= Temporary Pace Maker, and Emergency device.
PPM= Permanent Pace Maker.
