Is Smoking While On Pacemaker Dangerous?

Can I smoke with a pacemaker?they placed a pacemaker about two months ago and I've had several cigarettes here and there does the cigarette damage the pacemaker or it dangerous for my heart to smoke while having this pacemaker in me, I'm concerned, please help!

Yes, certainly smoking causes heart disease.
While it does not directly affect the pacemaker, it does affect the heart in several ways.
It increases the risk of heart attack. It causes constriction of the blood vessels.

Most of the time, there is underlying heart disease (to which smoking probably contributed) that is the reason for needing a pacemaker.

Smoking cessation is recommended for pretty much everyone but certainly in people with heart problems.
